This is my first attempt at building a model ship, a 1/700 scale replica of the DDG-1000. I'd been looking forward to building one of these ever since seeing the ship at its commissioning in Baltimore in 2016. This kit turned out to be quite challenging, with extremely tiny and fragile parts that were difficult to work with. While the final result is flawed and incomplete, it was a great learning experience. For my next project, I’ll try something at a larger scale.
