Los Angeles 2025

In November, we went to my best friend’s wedding in Ojai, California. It was a beautiful and a one-of-a-kind wedding, and had the best energy I’ve ever seen. We flew into LAX a few days ahead of time to explore Los Angeles.

On our first day, we visited the Griffith Observatory (named after Griffith J. Griffith, I kid you not), where we had a nice hike and great views, as well as a fortuitous encounter with a V-22 Osprey.

Had the best mapo tofu ever at Pine and Crane Silverlake

In the evening we walked around Dodgers Stadium and ended up at Angels Point to enjoy the beautiful sunset.

The next day was rainy, so we spent the day visiting the La Brea Tar Pits Museum and Petersen Automotive Museum.

Wild to see this Aston Martin Valkyrie in person instead of in a YouTube video.

We later met up with my friend from college to eat at Grand Central Market and then check out the Arts District neighborhood.

I insisted on going to see this Shohei Ohtani mural.

The next day, we got a rental car and made our way up the California coast toward Ojai, where my friend’s wedding was. It was a beautiful drive.

A stroll towards the beach during a stop at Malibu Point.

View of the mountains from the wedding venue.

This trip was not only my first time in the Los Angeles area, but a chance for me to celebrate my friend’s marriage and reconnect with friends from college. To be able to do this in such an idyllic setting was incredible.
